Carolina Week testimonial: My experience with Carolina Week is one I will never forget. Not only did I make great friends and meet interesting people, but I learned useful skills that will benefit me throughout my career. As a student reporter I learned the ins and outs of news broadcasting and I learned first-hand the impact the media have on society. While reporting for Carolina Week, I discovered an interest in the "behind-the-scenes" action in addition to being on camera. I am now in graduate school at Duke University pursing film and documentary. Although I chose to pursue a different path, the skills I learned during my experience in Carolina Week have already proved to be beneficial and I have no doubt that these skills will continue to help me achive my career goals.
