Carolina Week Testimonial:Where would I be without Carolina Week? I really have no idea. I started with an itch to get into television and soon realized my dream as a sports anchor and reporter in a good-sized market. I often wonder how I got there, but I’m confident that I can attribute most of my professional journalistic career to my time in the CW studio under the tutelage of Dr. Tuggle and Professor Simpson. Being a part of the original CW crew was an extremely rewarding experience. We were all new to broadcast journalism and we grew up with the show. Although the first couple of years were rocky to say the least, we knew we were forging through the growing pains with a greater purpose. The successes of future CW generations were built on that platform. While I don’t personally know the award-winning students of more recent years, I'm as happy for them as if I had won myself. A tradition of excellence has been born – and has become an ever-expanding fraternity that I'm proud to be a part of. I look forward to getting to know and helping my fellow CW alumni as our journeys in journalism intertwine for years to come.
