Carolina Week Testimonial: I can honestly say that I would not be where I am if it had not been for Carolina Week. The skills I learned during my three semesters with CW allowed me to obtain a position at the number one news station in the Charlotte market, market number 24. Carolina Week gives you the opportunity to explore different positions in television news. After spending time learning the production side of the news, I found my calling on the editorial side. I became a producer for CW during the Fall 2009 semester, and I completely fell in love with producing. Today, I am working at WSOC in Charlotte as an associate producer. I write for the weekday morning newscasts and fill in as a producer. I also produce the midday newscast on the weekends. Carolina Week allowed me to hone my skills as a producer, and I know that without CW, I would not be working at the top news station in Charlotte.
