Dawne Howard LucasDate of graduation: May 2001 Carolina Week Testimonial: The most important things I learned from Carolina Week were accuracy and timeliness. Journalism is a profession that doesn't allow for mistakes or tardiness, and students must learn this lesson quickly! When I graduated, my first job was as a master control operator. Being a few seconds too late here and there could cost the station money, and I always had to pay attention to make sure everything ran on schedule. Even though I no longer work in the field, the lessons I learned are still helping me to meet deadlines and to keep an eye out for mistakes--thanks CW! |
