Carolina Week Testimonial: Carolina Week was one of the best experiences I had while at Carolina. From being courtside at the Dean Dome covering the UNC-Duke game to the moments right before the show at Carroll Hall, I look back fondly on the memories and lessons learned at Carolina Week. The facilities, the faculty sponsorship and involvement and the interaction with other students taught me many things about journalism, TV production, on-air presentation capability and teamwork. Even though I no longer directly work in television news, I have utilized the experiences and skills learned in public relations, marketing and currently in executive education.

My advice to current students is to take full advantage of the resources available to you and experience all areas of the process so you are able to see what interests you. Carolina Week gives you an advantage over other graduates in terms of quality of work, professional guidance and network. Also enjoy the time covering the Tar Heels, UNC and Chapel Hill.
