Kelsey RichardsDate of graduation: May, 2006 Carolina Week Testimonial: I joined Carolina Week the fall semester of my sophomore year. I began as a volunteer as I was eager to begin my career in news and broadcasting. I started in the video playback department, and ended up as a live studio reporter by the time I reached my senior year. Carolina Week was one of my favorite parts about my college experience. From running around campus with all of my equipment trying to get the latest stories to putting together my news pieces in the edit suites and recording my voice in the sound booth, every moment was exhilarating and educational. There wasn’t a day that passed that I didn’t learn something new, truthfully speaking, as the class and program is certainly a commitment, but one where the results of your dedication and improvement are tangible and very rewarding. There is no better college program, in my opinion, in which to hone and craft your skills in the field of electronic journalism. I will treasure the memories and experiences that I gained from being a part of this team forever. There is no doubt that this class and program helped shape the adult and career person I have become. |
