Mallory NichollsDate of graduation: May, 2008 Carolina Week Testimonial: I was one of the few people in my graduating class at NCSU to have a job when I graduated, and I owe a lot of that to Carolina Week. I remember when Rob Ellis brought me to a broadcast the first time and from there, I spent the next two years traveling to Chapel Hill to learn about journalism. The only experience I had with on-air broadcasting was what I did with Carolina Week. I was able to learn the basics of putting together a weather forecast and presenting the weather in a way that the audience would understand. I still had a lot to learn once I was in my career, but I had a foundation to grow on. I still talk to this day about the voice lessons Professor Cupp gave me to get rid of my southern accent. Even three years after my graduation, I still feel comfortable asking Dr. Tuggle for advice |
