Carolina Week Testimonial: I got my first job out of college at WSFA, the NBC affiliate in Montgomery, AL. When I first started producing there, people were surprised at just how quickly I learned the system. I told everyone: it's all because of Carolina Week! The transition into any first job is never easy, but after volunteering for Carolina Week all 4 years at UNC, my transition was really smooth for the most part. When Dr. T and the crew say "We run everything here like a regular newsroom," they're not joking! I was at WSFA for almost 2 and a half years. That producing experience helped me land my job at KNOE, the CBS affiliate in Monroe, Louisiana, where I have been a reporter and anchor for over 2 years. My news director told me that one of the biggest reasons she hired me was because of my producing experience. I love being out in the field and telling people's stories - and helping them out. It's my favorite part of my job.
