Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign generated tremendous excitement
and activity on college campuses in North Carolina. It showed at the polls;
Mr. Obama captured 74 percent of the youth vote in the state. But now that
candidate Obama is President Obama, the excitement from his campaign isn't
exactly translating to support for his policies.
