Bio: Alana has worked in all kinds of journalism since her first year - from television, to newspaper, to wire service, to radio... but is focusing on her role as a reporter for Carolina Week this year. This past summer, she interned with the ZDF, a national television station, in Berlin, Germany. The previous summer she graduated from the Institute on Political Journalism program in Washington, D.C. The dpa, an international wire service, published many of her articles for readers all over the world! Alana has also written features articles for the Daily Tar Heel, and worked as a sports reporter for Carolina Week. But this semester, she is branching out more and will also be covering more traditional hard news stories. In her (limited!) free time, Alana enjoys working out, volunteering and traveling. After graduation, she plans to work as a television journalist.
