Carolina Week Testimonial: My biggest regret at UNC is not joining Carolina Week earlier. It's taught me so much in just a year about journalism, about myself, and about what I want to do with my future. When I started senior year, I made sure to jump in to as many positions as I possibly could - I reported, I worked the cameras, I did playback - but mostly I did graphics. Graphics was never something I thought I would do, but it was a position that needed to be filled - and I actually really enjoyed it. I became Technical Director the next semester, and learned that what I really wanted to do was be in the control room. There's nothing quite like being one of the final people to determine what does or doesn't go on the air. My advice to future Carolina Weekers: Try everything at least once!
