Carly SwainPrimary function: Carolina Week Director and Anchor Bio: Carly's work in college film and television started at UNC Greensboro where she functioned as a reporter and anchor for the weekly student-news broadcast. She also helped spear-head the University's entertainment magazine-style show and started producing and directing in the second semester of her freshman year. In 2005, Carly attended a summer session at New York University, Tisch School for the Arts. There she wrote, directed, and produced five short films, acted in seven others, and served on the production crew for several more shorts. For the next year, Carly interned at her community theatre where she worked as an assistant director for two productions and onstage for three of the season's shows. Now a junior at Carolina, Carly is excited to be part of such a great program in the Journalism School with motivated students who are so committed to their work and professors who take genuine interest in helping pupils succeed. |
