Bio: I’m proud to say this is my 7th semester with Carolina Week. I have worked hard to reach my goals while here at Carolina. Persistence is key. I started out as a volunteer camera operator the summer before my freshman year at UNC. Now I am the managing editor and lead producer at Carolina Week. I am also fortunate to co-anchor the Monday show with Bethany Tuggle. This past summer I interned at PBS affiliate UNC-TV, where I had the opportunity to line-produce and write for the North Carolina Now News Information Show. I also had the opportunity to field produce stories and line-produce their newsmaker segment. UNC-TV afforded me the opportunity to jump right in and learn the ropes of producing.

I plan to hone in on my producing and writing skills during my last two semesters here at UNC-Chapel Hill and Carolina Week. As managing editor, my main functions will include effective communication with the local media outlets and within Carolina Week. One of my lifelong goals is to produce for either CNN or another major news network. At some point, I’d like to produce for either National Geographic or the History Channel. I am looking forward to a great semester with an award-winning team. And as always, feel free to contact me if you need anything or have a story idea.
