David CuppPrimary function: Assistant Professor Bio: I was born at an early age and grew up in a small town in Oklahoma. After graduating from the University of Central Oklahoma I earned an M.A. at the University of Virginia. Following graduation I returned to the Sooner State where I spent a year working in radio news, but discovered that I missed Charlottesville. I moved back to Virginia and stayed there for 26 years, working as News Director and as 6PM anchor for WVIR-TV/DT. In the fall of 2005 I joined the UNC JOMC faculty as an Assistant Professor specializing in Voice and Diction training. My wife Cecilia and I have built a house in South Durham, we love being in North Carolina, and I am honored to be at UNC. |
