Bio: Francesca Carpentier joined the faculty in 2005. Her teaching interests include electronic media production and policy. Her research focuses on how people select and process mass-mediated messages, and how those messages affect them. In addition to publishing in academic journals, Carpentier has also written educational television scripts and worked in independent video.
