Bio: I was first inspired to consider a career in broadcast journalism after a brief high school internship completed with the host and producer of "Star Watch" at WFLA (NBC) in Tampa, Florida. My goals have since become focused toward becoming a news correspondent and anchor, eventually with local, national, and international television organizations.

The fall of 2007 began my experience with Carolina Week. By shadowing Carolina Week news reporters, anchors, and other personnel who contribute to the show, my desire has strengthened even more to pursue a life long career in the field of electronic media. The immediate goal now: to begin reporting for Carolina Week in the spring of 2008. Next steps on the career development path: interning at a local television station in the summer of '08, followed by studying abroad in Spain in '09.

I firmly believe it's important to maintain my ability to speak and write in a language other than English. As such, I will build upon my fluency in Spanish for use in conjunction with my desired career in journalism.
