Testimonial: I thrive in an environment that requires me to be quick-thinking, detail oriented and accurate. Working as a reporter, anchor and ultimately director for Carolina Week was a great opportunity to hone those skills. Carolina Week is unlike any class you'll ever take at UNC. There are no midterms or final exams. Your primary teaching comes from peers and staff members with excellent technical and production skills. Going through the program will teach you the ins and outs of live television production like no other on-campus program will. I gained more practical skills related to this industry than at any of my four internships. Carolina Week will also teach you how to juggle the politics of a work environment, a challenging task but important skill. As you move up in the ranks, faculty members become your boss and fellow students become your crew. It's good to learn to juggle both. For that, I am grateful for the six semesters I dedicated to Carolina Week. Because of this show and the excellent staff associated with it (Dylan Field, Daniel Siler and Terry Hill are continually life savers!), I am graduating with an impressive skill set that will definitely serve me well in the future.
