Marathon Keeps Fans Rolling in Aisles
By Janelle Alissa Henry
The Dirty South Improv group knows how to
prove that laughter really is the best medicine.
The DSI group collected ticket money during
a 24-hour comedy marathon this weekend to donate
to the Children's Hospital.
It didn't take long for these seats to fill
up. Audience members yelled out themes,
as the DSI troupe acted out the scenes.
They even tried some improv impressions.
The actors really awed the audience.
Crew member Andrea Margolis said what
the group does on stage is an extension of how close they all are.
“We
meet one a week just to go out for coffee or drinks so we can get to know
each other. It just helps to build a rapport on stage,” said Margolis
The DSI group will add up haw much money they
raised from the show later this week.
