| Texting
for Take-Out? It's Possible in Some States
By Cami Marshall
In some places, ordering
food is as easy as texting your order and walking
in to pick it up. Your cell phone might soon
be the key to eliminating waiting in long lines.
Thanks to a company called Mobo, which is
short for Mobile Order, some restaurants in
New York
and Connecticut are making the wait-free experience
a reality. All patrons have to do is register
online and fill out a user profile. And you
can keep your credit card in your wallet because
your billing information is already in the
system.
So would something like this work here
in Chapel
Hill? UNC senior, Bruce Carroll seems to think
so.
“I think the company would work especially
because there are so many students who
are just so short on time and are just looking
for something
quick,” Carroll said.
Mobile Ordering won't be coming
to Chapel Hill any time soon, but for
more information about the company go to our
