UNC Gets Solid B on Sexual Health Report Card
By Justin Smith

The results of a sexual health report card are in and UNC earned a passing grade. It was ranked fourteenth out of one hundred schools across the nation.

Trojan Condoms conducted the study and ranked schools in seven categories.

UNC’s Grades:

Contraception - A
Outreach - A
Website - B
Sexual assault services - B
Advice column and Q&As - B
HIV and STI testing – C
Condom availability - F

Sarah Przybyla of Campus Health Services disputed the F grade for condom availability.

She said condoms are available for free at Campus Health Services and are for sale in vending machines across campus.

“We pass out probably close to sixty thousand condoms a year. I find it hard to believe we would have received an F if they would have known that information,” Przybyla said.

UNC received an overall rating of 2.7 on a scale of 4.0.
Duke got a 3.4, and NC State received a 2.3.
