Renovated Stores Open for Students

You've probably noticed the Student Stores building looks a lot different these days.

The stores opened for the start of classes last week after an extended renovation period.

One of the major changes is the South Road entrance that leads into the clothing and gifts section.

Other changes include a brighter and more modern textbook section and two sets of escalators.

"I think it looks great,” says Student Stores cashier Sarah Duffy. "I think for preorder week it was a little hectic and crazy, but once everything calms down, I think they're gonna get everything in it's right place and have it all cleaned up and it will look a lot better."

Although most of the store is now open, some parts are still under construction.

Everything should be done by April.
