Candidates Soliciting Signatures

Election season is under way on UNC-CH's
campus.
On Wednesday, prospective candidates collected signatures in hopes of securing
a spot on this year's ballot.
Candidates for student body president and Carolina Athletic Association president
must collect 800 signatures.
Candidates for senior class president, vice president, and Residence Hall Association
president all need 350 signatures.
No matter what the office, all candidates
have a busy month ahead.
Signatures are due by Thursday.
The qualifying candidates can start their public campaigning next Monday.
Feb. 8 is Election Day.
If no candidate receives a majority, there will be a run-off election Feb.
15.
Carolina Week will provide continuing coverage throughout the election
process.
The debate show will be Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
The election show will be Feb. 8 at 9 p.m.
It starts at 9 p.m. and ends when all the votes are in.
If there is a run-off election, the results will come in live on Feb. 15.
