University Boasts “Idol” Contestant

One University freshman just returned home after a quick trip down the road to fame.

Henry Spear rode the song "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain all the way to Hollywood. Spear was a contestant on the show American Idol this semester. He says although he didn't make it into the finals, he's not giving up easily.

“I fully plan to audition on the next American Idol,” said Spear. “Supposedly the next [season] is the last season, so it will be great to be the last American Idol".

Spear expects to appear on the show sometime in the next three weeks.
