Summer Reading Selection Committee Makes Decision
by Joe Mott

The first step toward graduation for incoming freshmen starts with summer reading. Wednesday morning, the summer reading selection committee announced its choice for this year's incoming class.

The committee chose “Blood Done Sign My Name,” written by Timothy B. Tyson. Tyson gives a personal account of civil rights struggles.

Committee members say the book is engaging and honestly discusses racial tension. One hundred and fifty copies of the novel have been ordered at the Bull's Head bookshop. They should arrive within a week.
