UNC-CH Aids Tsunami Relief
by Mary McGuirt

The physical tragedy may be a world away, but students at UNC-Chapel Hill say they can still make a world of difference to the victims of the Dec. 26 tsunami. Several campus groups are raising money for relief efforts.

The Muslim Student Association has raised more than $300 from their bake sales in the Pit. Even a campus coffee shop is getting involved in the cause. The Daily Grind will donate one dollar for every pound of coffee sold. Event coordinator Sunay Shah says every little bit helps.

“As little as we can do at UNC and in the triangle, it is going to still make a big impact on what happens here,” Shah says.
