Southern Historical Collection Opens to Public
by Lydia Garlikov

The semester has begun, and finding the perfect place to study is key. But that's not the only reason people are heading to Wilson Library. The Southern Historical Collection's latest display in Wilson is now open to the public.

The entire collection is likely the world's largest collection of manuscript material documenting the American South. It includes photographs, hand-written letters and family scrapbooks, among other items.
There are also 3,500 taped oral history interviews in the collection, some of which you can listen to while you sit in the exhibit.

The exhibition will be open in Wilson Library’s Melba Remig Saltarelli Exhibit Room through the end of March.
