Young Democrats Endorse Jensen

Student groups across campus are announcing their endorsements for the upcoming elections. The UNC-CH Young Democrats met Monday night to decide who they would back for Carolina Athletic Association president.

Those in attendance decided that Justin Johnson would best represent them to the CAA. A week earlier they met for a similar moderated forum to decide who to endorse for student body president. They chose to give their support to Tom Jensen because they felt his platform had potential to make an immediate impact.

“The Young Democrats endorsed him because he has good ideas and feasible ideas [that] he thinks he can implement next year,” said Blakely Whilden, co-president of the Young Democrats.
