Student Environmental Group Hosts Conference
by Lily West

A student environmental group says passion is great, but it's organization that gets things done. Students United for a Responsible Global Environment hosted its second conference this past weekend. An information fair was one of the features.

One of the coordinators, Emily Headrick, says progressives need more organized events like this conference.

“The skill of organizing is something that, you know, the progressive movement needs more of,” Headrick said. “It needs people that are impassioned, but it also needs people who can get the logistics down."

Representatives from more than 150 progressive organizations showed up.
