Edwards Starts Position on Campus

Former Tar Heel John Edwards says he’s glad to be back on campus.Edwards started his new job as director of UNC-CH’s new Center on Poverty, Work and Opportunity on Monday. The center will bring together UNC-CH faculty and policy makers with the goal of solving the problem of poverty in the United States.

Edwards, graduate of UNC-CH law school, former U.S. senator and vice presidential candidate, will also serve as a guest lecturer on campus. Edwards and his wife Elizabeth will move into their new Chapel Hill home this spring.
