Wrestling Loses to Virginia Tech

In the first meeting between the UNC wrestlers and Virginia Tech since 2001, junior All-American Evan Sola gave the Heels an early lead after tenth-ranked David Hoffman was flagged for a stalling penalty. While the fans were excited, the Heels watched the lead disappear after the Hokies dropped the Heels down a notch with bruising victories in the next two matches.

The Heels fought back to within three, but after six overtimes, heavyweight Spencer Nadolsky was unable to pull out the win. With the loss, the Heels fall to 3-2 in the ACC.
