UNC Breaks Ground for Genetic Medicine Building
by Erika Heyder

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill broke ground Wednesday for a new genetic medicine building on campus. The building is a cooperative effort between the pharmacy and medical schools and will offer unique opportunities for both schools to work together.

Speakers at the groundbreaking ceremony included Chancellor James Moeser, the dean of both the medical and pharmacy schools, and many others. The $110 million facility will be one of the largest buildings on campus and is scheduled for completion in 2007.
