Softball Drubs Charlotte

The undefeated softball team welcomed UNC-Charlotte to town Wednesday afternoon as it looked to keep its winning streak alive.

In the first inning, the Tar Heel defense showed the 49ers who was in charge by sitting down three straight batters.

For the Heels, Carolina's Marissa May singled up the middle and would later score to put the Tar Heels on top. After the first inning, Carolina led by one and didn't let the 49ers catch up as they won a close one, 3-1.
