Tar Heels Come From Behind to Win

The UNC-CH baseball team had to play catch-up to beat Birmingham Southern on Friday.

Southern got off to an early 2-0 lead in the third inning.
Unforced errors by the Heels helped Birmingham steal a few bases. Sophomore pitcher Daniel Bard turned on the heat and retired the next 13 batters.

Soon, Carolina's hitters got back in their groove, as six different batters got their 'heels' across home plate.
The Birmingham Panthers squeezed in one final run to settle the score at 6-3 in the first game of the three-game series.
