Police Identify Biker Killed by Boston College Team Bus

On Wednesday, Chapel Hill Police released the name of the bicyclist killed in a collision with a bus carrying the Boston College men's basketball team.

Department spokeswoman Jane Cousins said 39-year-old Harry Weldon Alston of Carrboro died Tuesday night after the bus hit him at the intersection of Littlejohn Road and Highway 54.

Cousins said that the accident is still under investigation and that it’s unclear whether any charges will be filed.

Boston College is scheduled to play the Tar Heels Wednesday night in the Smith Center.
