BOE Members Test Online Voting System

Elections are less than two weeks away, and preparations for them have begun.

The online voting system was tested on Monday and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The test wasn't done on the real student central Web site. It took place on a mock student central Web site.

Ten students couldn’t log into the mock Web site. Co-vice chairman of the UNC board of elections Jim Brewer said, "It is a minor problem that the individuals can fix on their own without having to call the ATN.” He added that the test election went well.

Brewer also said that after next Tuesday’s test election they will be more than prepared for elections on Feb 14.
