More Construction Leads to Less Parking
By Philip Jones

As more buildings go up on campus, the number of parking spaces available to students and faculty continues to go down—and that's leading to a parking crunch.

Monday's winter weather didn't stop Department of Public Safety officers from issuing a parking ticket to an SUV parked in a construction lot near Cobb Hall.

The lot is one of several on campus that used to be available to students and staff until construction projects eliminated the spaces.

The DPS said about 600 spaces on campus were removed this year to make way for construction.
