Gymnastics Team Places Close Second to N.C. State

Even though they chalked up before the big match, the girls had some minor slips on the parallel bars. But they bounced back on the balance beam.

Alice Xu stabilized herself with an impressive triple jump combo on the beam, while teammate Christine Robella maintained her winning smile in a full body dip.

Courtney Bumpers placed second on the floor exercise and first in all-around competition.

The team will host the Tar Heel Invitational this Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
