Water Treatment Produces Funny Taste

Have you tasted your tap water today? Well, some of you might have noticed a slight difference in the way it smells and tastes.

Every March the Orange County Water and Sewer Authority uses chlorine to disinfect the water supply. During the other months, the water supply is disinfected with chloramines to improve the taste, odor, and overall quality of drinking water.

Some may wonder if the tap water is still safe to drink this month. Greg Feller, the Public Affairs Administrator of the Orange Water and Sewer Authority, says there is nothing to worry about.
