Win over Duke Makes for Saturday Night Fever
By Paula Cerutti

The Tar Heel basketball team had all the right moves on Saturday. For the first time in a decade, Carolina beat Duke on Blue Devil territory, ruining their Senior Night.

No one could escape the “Saturday night fever” on Franklin Street. And after the Tar Heels scored the final winning points, fans watching the game from living rooms, bars, and restaurants hit the road and rushed to Franklin Street.

Nobody wanted to be left out of the big party -- young, old, and everyone in between celebrated the historic Tar Heel victory...even a reveler dressed as Batman couldn't miss it.

Fans had different ways of celebrating. Some started dancing, some liked shouting, and others just started drinking. But everyone on Franklin Street agreed with one thing: Nothing feels as good as beating Duke at on their home turf, especially on Senior Night.

Staying true to tradition fans lit bon fires and started some risky games of their own.
