Downey Expected to Make Full Recovery

UNC-Chapel Hill freshman Tyler Downey, who fell from Stacy Residence Hall on Feb. 24, is expected to make a full recovery.

Downey is resting at home in Asheville, and will return to Carolina in the fall.

Downey's family members say they're overwhelmed by the kindness and support they've received from the University community.

Although he must undergo oral surgery and physical therapy, they say an impending spring break visit from friends and the Tar Heel victory against Duke Saturday are keeping Downey's spirits up.
