Men’s Lacrosse Falls to Penn
By Michael Crowe

The men's lacrosse team faced a tough test Tuesday night when 20th-ranked Penn visited Fetzer Field. Carolina struck first with a goal by Bobby McAuley.

But Penn responded, reeling off three goals in less than three minutes. When Ryan Blair scored the Heels' second goal, it would be their last goal for a
long time.

Carolina failed to capitalize on many opportunities. The Tar Heels trailed 7-2 at the half, and head coach John Haus was not pleased.

The second half didn't go much better for Carolina. Five different players scored for the Quakers, and three of them had a hat-trick or better. The blowout left Tar Heel fans with little to cheer about as Carolina fell to Penn 13-4.
