Heels Squeak Past Seminoles in Second Game of Three
By Jennifer Maness

Florida State University got off to a good start on Saturday after being beaten by the Tar Heels the day before.

The Noles held a 3-2 lead until the bottom of the ninth, but Heels’ fans put their rally caps on just in time.

An FSU error on a Seth Williams pop-up tied the game for UNC and put the winning run on third. Shortstop Josh Horton stepped up to the plate and drove in the winning run, giving UNC a 4-3 victory.

Horton says he didn’t feel any pressure about facing the Seminoles.

“I felt like, you know, tie game, we definitely got the bullpen to keep playing,” he says. “I didn’t feel any pressure. I just tried to put a good swing on it and ended up blooping one in.”
