Parking Lottery Now Open

Parking on campus is a gamble for many students — literally.

The student-parking lottery is now open on the Department of Public Safety Web site.

Students can register in hopes of winning a parking hang tag for the 2006-2007 school year.

The spots are assigned randomly by class, with the most spots going to graduate students and seniors. Students are able to list preferences for different parking lots across campus.

Parking lottery registration ends May 11 at 2 p.m. To enter the lottery for your parking tag, visit www.dps.unc.edu to enter your license tag number and registration information.
