Tennis Team Beats Maryland
By Laisee Rintel

The UNC women's tennis team has never been better. They're ranked higher this season than ever before, and their success story continued Saturday when facing off against Maryland.

Teammates gave high-five after high-five, as the Tar Heels took on the Terrapins.

In doubles, Tanya Markovic and Austin Smith won quickly and then watched as the No. 2 doubles team lost a close match. The doubles point rested on the number one doubles team, and although Jenna Long fell over, she got right back up and won the match.

The singles matches remained just as close. The match came down to Markovic, who beat her opponent in three sets.
