Rain from Alberto Moves Through Area
By Katie Cline

Triangle residents like the Carolina Hurricanes, but not the real kind. The remnants of tropical storm Alberto moved through the Triangle Wednesday, bringing heavy rain.
People were forced to break out their umbrellas with showers expected all day. But the birds didn't seem to mind.

Forecasters predicted two to four inches of rainfall, with five inches in some areas. A flood watch was in effect for Orange County until midnight Wednesday.

All the rain will go a long way toward easing moderate drought conditions.
