Office Plaza Nameless No Longer
By Ashley Perryman
On Monday night the town council officially
renamed the block in front of the Chapel Hill
post office the Peace and Justice Plaza.
The council
decided against naming the plaza for three civil
rights and peace activists. Instead it opted
to name the square for the concepts the square
represents.
The activists names will still be displayed
at the plaza but the Historic District and
Public Arts commissions haven't decided
yet how to display the
names.
