Basketball Ticket Distribution Moves Online

UNC-Chapel Hill has a new way of distributing men’s basketball tickets. Students will now register online and computers will randomly select ticket winners. Students
won’t have to get up on Saturday morning to go to the Dean Dome and wait for their bracelet numbers to be called. It will also cut down on personnel UNC must hire.

The new system won’t allow friends to get more than two tickets together. Senior Felix Sebera thinks the die-hard fans are the ones who will lose-out.

“With the new system, I think some people who--I don’t want to call them slackers--but those who didn’t want to get up in the morning are going to be included, and it will
affect the atmosphere of the games,” Sebera said.

Some students say camping out for tickets was a highlight of their time here at UNC, even if it meant going the day after Halloween.
