Back Seat Belts
By Katie Cline

The Senate also decided that anyone riding in a car in North Carolina must wear a seat belt, regardless of whether that person is sitting in the front seat or the back.

Legislators passed the bill on Monday, but the law won't kick in until December first. The penalty is $10 for anyone who isn't strapped in.
