Lawsuit Puts Dorrance Back in Spotlight
By Philip Jones

When it comes to action on the field, UNC women's soccer coach Anson Dorrance has the best record in college soccer history. But a nearly 10-year-old lawsuit is putting Dorrance back in the limelight for his conduct off the field.

Reserve goalkeeper Melissa Jennings sued Dorrance in 1998, accusing him of sexual harassment. Her lawsuit was dismissed in 2004, but a federal court recently decided to hear Jennings’ appeal.

Dorrance, who has led UNC to 18 national championships in 27 years, denies making any harassing remarks and declined comment.
