Campus Theft
By Jessica Floyd

Campus theft is on the rise because students are holding the dorm doors open for people who might not live there. Officials say that if all students would use their own key campus theft would drastically decrease.

Rick Bradley is the Assistant Director of Housing and Residential Education and he says that students have a little too much southern hospitality when they hold the doors open for people they don't know.

"We consider the front dorms of a residence hall to be the front dorms of someone's home. So, if you don't know the person who's coming in behind you. It's best not to let them in to the front door of your building."

The next time you enter your dorm, make sure the person behind you is someone you know.
